Preparation and submission of planning applications
Want to know about the planning application process, what information you need, and what your prospects for success are? We can prepare and submit a planning, listed building, advertisement consent, change of use or other application on your behalf. This may include:
- Arranging the preparation of plans and drawings;
- Setting out in a Planning Statement the background to the proposal, the planning policy context, relevant case law, and why the scheme should be approved;
- Liaison with architects and other consultants;
- Negotiation with Council Planning Officers, statutory consultees and neighbours;
- Monitoring all representations, responding where appropriate; and
- Speaking at Planning Committee.
Examples of recent work includes:
- Planning permission gained for two apartments in a new building in Worcester;
- Planning permission gained for the creation of a new vehicular access and revisions to a previously approved barn conversion scheme in Malvern Hills District;
- Planning permission gained for a house extension in London;
- Planning permission at appeal for two Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) in Worcester;
- A Lawful Development Certificate for an extension to a HMO in Worcester;
- Scheme submitted for the use of a permitted ‘granny annex’ as a separate dwelling;
- Preparation of a heritage statement to accompany an application for a extension to a historic building;
- Following a previous refusal, planning permission gained for the change of use and conversion of a property into nine apartments; and
- Application made for ‘prior approval’ for an agricultural storage building in Herefordshire.
